Steven Universe - Gem OC - Charo (Charoite)

Eeyup, I've found myself in the clutches of another fandom, but it is one that I could not be happier to be a part of. If you haven't heard of Steven Universe, then I suggest you check it out. To put this character into perspective, Steven Universe focuses on a group of powerful beings called The Crystal Gems, named after different gems/minerals respectively.

So here, we have the first in which I hope to be several more OC Crystal Gems, who goes by the name of Charo.

• Likes: Learning and teaching new things, seeing others smile, tranquility and rainy days
  
• Dislikes: Rudeness and awkward silences
  
• Hobbies: Charo is very fond of games: she's mostly fond of boardgames or strategy games, but any game that involves company will always be appealing to her.
  
• Personality: Charo may have the appearance and qualities of being prim and proper, but she is also stern and to-the-point. Charo can be both kind and harsh to those around her, depending on the manner of the situation. She believes strongly in the idea of second-chances, and will always puts herself forward to give advice when needed the most.
  
• Abilities: Charo's special ability is astral projection: channeling the "spiritual" energy from her gem to project an invisible form that is able to leave her body temporarily and travel far distances in a matter of moments. However, her physical body is put in harm when she does this, so she only uses this skill when others are present to protect her form.

When making her, I was trying to think of a person who could really put up with ANYTHING. That was when my mind turned to a character like Mary Poppins: a very kind character, but knows when to take action. So, I decided to base Charo off of a Victorian governess, which I think works rather well. When I was making her, I wanted to give her appearance something a bit more interesting so I decided to go with freckles and I just love it.

EDIT I've given Charo an INCREDIBLY updated look, with many of her proportions having been altered to look a bit more interesting...at least, I hope she is. If you're familiar with the show, I guess a way to look at it is to imagine her regenerating after retreating into her gem to heal.
